Director of Operations
Robert Bearman is at the start of his 6th year at UIC. He has a lifetime of experience in food service, including owning his own restaurant, working as a meat cutter, and has managed every kind of restaurant from pizza to fine dining. As an educator, Robert taught food service management and quantity food production at UIC, and is a certified food sanitation instructor in the state of Illinois. His favorite part of his job is introducing people to new foods, along with recruiting and developing a diverse and happy crew. Robert lives in Skokie with his wife and two sons (who are currently away at college). He loves fishing, gardening and cooking with friends.
